Two things:
It’s mostly James Spader’s voice in this film that gets me off.  Everything else about it is beautiful and steamy, like the caring, mutually beneficial relationship that develops between Edward and Lee; Lee’s masochistic tendencies and the acceptance that pain and the rush from pain can be acceptable, but that being able to link that desire with support, love and positive moments makes it sustainable.  Self-harm when used as a coping method for anxiety and depression is effective, but reinforces the belief that something is wrong and it becomes easy to get bogged down thinking you’re awful each time new marks appear on your body; the aesthetics of the film… Yup, clearly you can see this could go on and on.  James Spader’s voice, though, in all his films: soft, controlled, gentle but still firm?  That’s enough for me.
The second thing: as far as masturbating on a plane goes, maybe it’s easier for a lady, but I think with the blanket they give you on long-haul flights and your tray table can help divert attention, it’s not so difficult?  I’m not going to lie, I’ve given it a go before.

I was on business flying to the US when I first saw Secretary.  I was lucky enough to be in business class and the entertainment system had all the pause and rewind facilities.  As I was flying BA I had like a little compartment to myself.  I could not believe how hot this film got me.  I admit to a crafty rub as I watched the best bits over and over but I never got to join the solo mile high club as the stewardesses were lurking too much.  Perhaps in another life they might have helped me out with my dilemma.

I will *always* reblog Secretary photos. ALWAYS.  If you’ve seen it, you know why, if you haven’t… watch it.

The movie Secretary is one of my all-time favorites. To me, there is no better scene in the history of cinema than the one right here.
